Event No. 325
September 4 - 8, 2011
The EUROCORR local conference organising committee is pleased to invite you to the European Corrosion Congress 2011 which is to be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
The event is taking place at Stockholm International Fairs located about 10 minutes by local trains from the city centre. The local organising committee is led by Swerea KIMAB, an institute within the field of corrosion and metals research. The conference title "Developing Solutions for the Global Challenge" signifies Swedish values of combining technological advancement, industrial growth and environmental sustainability, which indeed is also reflected in Swerea KIMABs ambition carried out in our daily work, emphasised by the critical role of corrosion science and prevention for material use in all applications.
EUROCORR 2011 will be a great opportunity to meet and interact with academia, industry and end users from all disciplines in order to better realise how we jointly can manage corrosion by a meaningful approach. The conference programme will include plenary meetings, keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations supported by the various EFC Working Parties along with specific workshops arranged by the local organising committee. In company with the conference programme there will be an exhibition at which companies, institutes and other parties dealing with corrosion prevention will be demonstrating their products and services.
In addition, to encourage the young generation of corrosion researchers a PhD graduate course encompassing corrosion will be held in conjunction with the conference.
On the behalf of the local organising committee, it is my honour to invite you to EUROCORR 2011 and Stockholm. Stockholm known for its hospitality and recognised for its natural beauty is located on numbers of islands surrounded by water stretching far out in the rich archipelago.
We are welcoming all our guests and look forward to meeting you in Stockholm!
